How Lau Gujjar ran a drug racket in J&K, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh
SSP Jammu Joginder Singh adressed a press briefing on the arrest of wanted criminal Lau Gujjar and associates.
He thanked the efforts of the Special Investigative Team (SIT) headed by SP Hqrs. Anna Sinha, comprising Miran Sahib and Bishnah police which worked to uncover the ling-standing nexus.
SSP Jammu informed the media persons that Gulzar Ahmed alias Lau Gujjar was a kingpin gangster and drug lord wanted in 27 FIRs in Jammu alone and around 100 FIRs across the country under various aliases. He ran an interstate drug nexus across J&K, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The drugs were apparently sourced through drone droppings via his contacts in Pakistan.
The kingpin gangster, wanted for murder, extortion and narcotic crimes, was apprehended by Miran Sahib police on 4th April, 2026 post which the SIT was formed to uncover the entire nexus. So far several arrests have been made, raids conducted in the houses of associates and around 20 people have been called for questioning. Further investigation is on in the matter.
