Two persons have been reported to have been killed in the blast in Ludhiana that had ripped the walls of bathroom in court on second floor of the building.

Sources say that the blast occurred due to an IED placed inside the bathroom of the court. Police was immediately rushed to the spot that sealed the area for forensic investigation.

It was surprising that despite metal detectors installed inside the court complex in Ludhiana, someone was able to take an IED inside the building that could have caused major death toll if there was no strike of lawyers.

As per details National Investigation Agency (NIA) will reach Ludhiana in sometime.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi said that the blast was carried to disrupt law and order in the city ahead of assembly polls. Ludhiana Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said the area has been sealed and forensic teams will collect samples from the blast site.
