In a crackdown against smugglers, 50 cows rescued by Jammu police

In a drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police rescued 50 animals from different locations.

In total 4 vehicles, that is, two trucks, one Mahindra load carrier and one Tata mobile have been seized.
In this regard, various FIRs have been registered in different police stations and accused have been arrested.

The arrested have been identified as Roshan Lal resident of Pathankot, Liaquat Ali resident of Udhampur, Harpal Singh resident of Uttar Pradesh, Mohd Taj resident of Sunderbani in Rajouri, Zaheer Abaas R/o Rajouri among others.

As per an official statement by police, “the operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and the arrests has been made in the jurisdiction of PP Manwal, PP Pouni Chak and PP Jourian”
