India begins infrastructural development in East Ladakh

India has initiated with the infrastructural development in East Ladakh in earnest despite the ongoing faceoff with China on the line of actual control.

For making the connectivity strong, six telecom towers, including one at Demchok, is being built. At Demchok, a panchayat office for local leaders has been built real quickly.

For helping the grazers who have nomadic life, Union Territory of Ladakh is looking forward to Rs 245 crore project. They will be provided with tents, solar lighting and other facilities. In the areas where they move around, schools and six sports complexes are being built. They will be covered and heated, allowing people to use the facilities throughout the year, including in the difficult winter months.

As well as water, electricity and heating facilities will be available for groups of people on the move at different areas.
