Jammu University asks employees to resume working from June 22

The University of Jammu has asked its non-teaching employees to resume working from June 22 on 50 percent strength.

“Pursuant to Government Order No. 43-JK(DMRRR) of 2021 dated 20.06.2021 issued by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Government of J&K, Civil Secretariat, J&K wherein among several relaxations, one of the relaxation is that all government and private offices can function without restrictions subject to strict adherence to COVID appropriate behavior and in continuation to earlier order No: PA/REG/21/338-55 dated 31.05.2021 issued by the University of Jammu, the University shall resume its normal working with 50% Staff strength with effect from June 22 till further orders” an order stated.

The order further read “it is hereby ordered that all the non-teaching/non-gazetted COVID Negative employees shall start attending their respective Offices (Main Campus as well as Off-site Campuses) on all working days with 50% strength on rotational basis w.e.f. 22.06.2021 onwards and the roster in this regard shall be maintained in their respective Offices”.

The Officials, who are not required to attend Office on a particular day, shall continue to work from home and shall remain available on telephone and other electronic means of communication at all times. No employee shall leave station without prior permission of the Controlling Officer.

Offline teaching activities in the Teaching Departments shall however continue to remain suspended till further orders. Online teaching activities of all the semesters, including research work by the Research Scholars in consultation with their Supervisors shall continue to be held online, as safety measures.

Further, the reading facility in the Dhanvantri Library, Offline activities in Auditoriums, functioning of Hostels and University Guest House, Cafeteria etc. shall also continue to remain suspended till further orders, in order to reduce footfall as precautionary measures.

The Guidelines/SOPs pertaining to the management of COVID-19 pandemic, as already notified by the University from time to time including strict adherence to the Social distancing norms and wearing masks all the times, shall continue to be followed mandatorily.
