Jammu witnessed season’s hottest day; heat to intensify

Jammu sizzled at 35 degrees Celcius on Wednesday and witnessed the hottest day of the season.

As per the spokesperson of the Meteorological department, capital Srinagar also recorded a high of 25.4 degrees Celsius which is 10.7 degrees above the normal.

The official further said that Katra was reeling at a maximum of 32.6 degrees Celsius.

He said that the town in Reasi district recorded the minimum temperature of 18.2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Jammu was recorded at 16.8 degrees Celsius, 2.8 notches above normal, while Banihal town in Ramban district recorded a low of 14.2 degrees Celsius which was 10 degrees above normal.

Srinagar witnessed a minimum of 7.9 degrees Celsius.

Bhaderwah town in Doda district witnessed a maximum of 30.4 degrees Celsius.
