J&K: Army and SDRF rescues 26 people stranded in flash floods

The Army on Friday rescued 26 people of multiple families who were stranded in a river in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir due to a flash flood.

Army forces, police, and the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) initiated an operation to rescue 26 members of multiple families who were believed to be trapped in a flash flood in the Chandak Bela region. The agencies launched rescue operation after receiving information about their plight. Everyone was safely rescued following a day-long effort.
