JKSSB SI Result 2022: Government orders inquiry into allegations of fraud in results

After the results of Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board’s (JKSSB’s) Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) were announced on June 4, J&K police recruitment exam is under scanner. J&K government on Thursday ordered inquiry into the allegations of fraud in the recently announced Sub Inspector or JKSSB SI Result 2022.

Many students have alleged that there has been fraud and mass bungling in the results declared. Hundreds of JKSSB aspirants even did a mass protest recently and demanded a fair probe into the matter. Many aspirants allegedly said that an unusual thing happened when the results were announced as over 20 siblings have qualified for the police recruitment. Further aspirants claimed that maximum toppers in question who have huge marks variation have some connections i.e. either they belong to the same library or they are in relations (brothers, sisters and close relatives).

One of the aspirants said that most of the toppers in the list have massive differences in their marks of similar examinations like Panchayat Accounts Assistant, Finance Accounts Assistant and Panchayat Accounts Assistant. Aspirant allegedly said that many toppers of PSI who have less than 50 marks in PAA and FAA, have scored 130 plus in PSI exam and added that similarly toppers of the FAA are scoring below average in JKPSI.

Finding such unusual things in the results declared on June 4, several aspirants have demanded fair probe into the matter.  Protesting candidates also demanded that till then the selection process for 1200 SI posts should be kept on hold. Netizens took the siblings issue to social media which was viral and which led to anger amongst everyone.

Government on Thursday announced an investigation by a committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, R K Goyal, into the allegations of fraud.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said at a function that since few days, newspapers have reported bringing into question the sub inspector recruitment by JKSSB and that they have decided that a panel headed by additional Chief Secretary Home (R K Goyal) will inquire into it within a time bound manner and if any fraud was found, the process shall be annulled and recruitment will be made in a transparent manner. Further LG said, “no fingers were pointed at any other recruitment done so far and if there are apprehensions in mind of people, it is duty of the administration to carry out an impartial probe and take necessary action”.

It is pertinent to mention that theJKSSB had conducted the written examination for 1200 posts of Sub Inspectors on March 27, the result of which was declared on June 4.
