Spokesperson Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir, Senior Advocate Abhinav Sharma has welcomed the decision declaring Urdu as not mandatory henceforth for the Naib Tehsildar examinations whenever held now. He expressed pleasure over the fact that this decision has undone the injustice done to the youth of various districts of Jammu region who had not studied Urdu language.
In a statement issued to media here today, Abhinav Sharma said that this is a much awaited decision and better late than never it has finally come thus doing justice with the non-Urdu writing aspirants of Naib Tehsildar posts. He said that enthusiastic youth of several districts of the Jammu region were earlier deprived of their genuine right as they were unable to appear in the examination of Naib Tehsildar because of mandatory knowledge of Urdu. He accused the successive regimes headed by NC and Congress in the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir of doing injustice with the youth of Jammu region who are mostly not having the knowledge about Urdu language especially Urdu writing.
The senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader made a strong appeal to the Services Selection Board to immediately initiate the process of identifying vacancies of Naib Tehsildars in the Revenue Department and advertise these posts for recruiting the aspiring candidates after clearing the examinations held by the Board for filling these vacancies.
