Light to moderate rain with thunderstorm in J&K tomorrow

On Saturday, the MeT department issued a 24-hour forecast for light to moderate rain with thundershowers in Jammu and Kashmir.

Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is expected throughout the next 24 hours, a MeT department spokesperson stated.

Amarnath Yatris are warned to exercise caution due to possibility of landslides and flash floods along the Baltal and Pahalgam routes.

Jammu had a minimum temperature of 23.7 degrees, Katra of 22.2, Batote of 18.5 and Banihal of 19.4 and Bhaderwah of 19 degrees. Today’s minimum temperatures were 22.2 degrees Celsius in Srinagar, 16.3 degrees Celsius in Pahalgam, and 13.2 degrees Celsius in Gulmarg.

Leh and Kargil recorded 14.2 and 15.8 degrees as the minimum temperatures, whereas Drass in the Ladakh region registered a minimum of 12 degrees.
