Lt Governor Manoj Sinha remembers former PM Vajpayee on his death anniversary

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday paid tributes to former Prime Minister (PM) Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary and said that he will always be remembered for the immense contribution towards the development of nation.

Taking to Twitter, LG remembered him as a true statesman and an excellent orator. Sinha also said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s contribution towards the development of nation will always be remembered and his thoughts and vision will continue to inspire generations to come.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary at the ‘Sadaiv Atal’ Samadhi in the national capital.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP national president JP Nadda along with others paid floral tributes to Vajpayee at the ‘Sadaiv Atal’ Samadhi in New Delhi.

Vajpayee, who served as the prime minister three times, was one of the founding members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The first term lasted in just 13 days in 1996 then for 13 months from 1998 to 1999 and a full term from 1999 to 2004. He died on August 16, 2018, at the age of 93 after a prolonged illness.
