In a major crackdown over Narco-terror Funding, State Investigation Agency (SIA) conducted raids at various location in Kashmir. Raids are being carried out in central and north Kashmir in connection with the financing of narco-terror activities in the valley. The agency is also trying to find out how the terrorist procured sims without identity cards in the Union Territory.
As per reports, the crackdown has been done in a joint operation conducted by SIA, Jammu & Kashmir police and CRPF in districts like Srinagar, Budgam, Kupwara, etc.
In Srinagar, a raid is being carried out at a hotel in which one government employee, a resident of Kishtwar, is staying, according to sources. Raids are underway at the home of Bashir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Batpora, Kachwari in Budgam. Another raid is being done in Kupwara.
As per official, SIA has recovered a number of evidence with regards to narcotics smuggling from across the border and generating funds for financing the terror modules from the same, overground workers of terror outfits, separatists, and families of killed terrorists.
