In a major boost in border connectivity, the Maan village in Ladakh along the LAC with China has been provided 5G connectivity.
Giving this information the Councilor for Chushul Konchok Stanzin said; “I’m delighted to share that after persistent efforts with Airtel India, Maan a border village that has been unconnected since Independence is now live with a 5G network! This connection not only links our village to the world but also strengthens communication within Chushul constituency and surrounding areas, paving the way for tourism opportunities in the region”.
“Additionally, I’m excited to announce that another border village will be connected next month. I’ve also requested Airtel to consider installing a mobile tower in Kargyam Valley, and they are optimistic about expanding their network there as well”, he said.
“A heartfelt thank you to Airtel India for bringing us closer to the rest of the world. This is truly a significant gift for our community!”, Stanzin added.
He also said that the BSNL has connected a 4G mobile tower in Chibra and Satoo villages under USOF!.
These areas were previously deprived of internet access and are now connected to the world.
