Martsemik, Sko valley in Ladakh opened for tourism & trekking

The government has opened the Martsemik and Sko Valley in Ladakh for tourism and trekking.

According to Konchok Stanzin, LAHDC councillor of Chushul, it has now been decided, with the approval of the Competent Authority, to open Martsemik and Sko Valley for tourism and trekking in the UT of Ladakh.

In his tweet, Konchok congratulated the people of Phobrang, Urgo and Lukung for this development. After continuing perusal and representations to various authorities for the opening of two beautiful tourist destinations Martsemik and Sko Valley for tourism and trekking last many years, it was finally approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Home Ministry has ordered relaxation in the Protected Area Permit regime and opened these areas for tourists and trekkers.
