Met warns of flash floods, landslides in Chenab Valley, Pir Panjal on July 11-12; Ladakh to remain mostly dry

Possibility of flash floods, landslides and mudslides at a few vulnerable places of the Chenab Valley and Pir Panjal range on 11 and 12 July have been predicted by the Meteorological Centre Srinagar.

Possibility of intense heavy showers during 11 amd 12 July at a few places towards afternoon and early morning has also been predicted.

People have been advised to stay away from nallahs, streams and mudslide prone areas.

The Met Centre in its advisory said; 10 July:A spell of Rain/thundershower at few dists.

●11-12 July:One/two spells of Rain/thundershower at many places with hvy rain/brief intense hvy showers at isol places of JMU div.

●13-16July:Hot & Humid with brief showers.

Weather will remain mostly dry in Ladakh on 10 and 11 July.
