Minimum temperature dips as rain lashes Kashmir

Minimum temperature falls on Friday in most places of Kashmir due to rains. With overnight rains, the minimum temperature has taken a dip in most places in Valley.

As per weather department official, Srinagar witnessed 8.7 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours till 0830 hours today, mainly since last evening.

Official further informed that Srinagar recorded a low of 14.6°C against 15.4°C on the previous night whereas the temperature was above normal by 0.3°C during this time of the year for the summer capital. Weather department official informed that Qazigund recorded a low of 13.0°C against 11.2°C on the previous night and temperature was 0.1°C below normal for the gateway town of Kashmir. Gulmarg recorded a low of 4.8°C against 9.0°C on the previous night, the official said. 

During the time, official informed that rains eluded most parts of Jammu region with only Banihal in Ramban district receiving 1.4mm of rainfall.

“Jammu recorded a low of 31.0°C against 27.3°C on the previous night”, the official said.
