Month after he was vaccinated, Farooq Abdullah tests positive for Covid

Month after he was vaccinated for Covid-19, Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah was tested positive for the virus.

Abdullah was vaccinated against Coronavirus at Srinagar on March 2. Abdullah, 85, was given the first dose of the vaccine at the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura.

Farooq’s son Omar Abdullah however on Tuesday tweeted, My father has tested positive for COVID-19 & is showing some symptoms. I will be self-isolating along with other family members until we get ourselves tested. I request anyone who has come in to contact with us over the last few days to take all the mandated precautions.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted and prayed for the good health and speedy recovery of Farooq Abdullah.
