Jammu:- A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspector (JKPSI) aspirants met senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Er. Gulam Ali Khatana at his Jammu residence on Sunday.
The aspirants sought the MP’s intervention in securing age relaxation for candidates appearing in the recruitment process. The deputation highlighted their grievances, emphasizing how several candidates have been adversely affected due to age restrictions, which they believe are unjust in the context of delays and uncertainties in the recruitment cycle.
They pointed out that aspirants who have aged out during the prolonged recruitment processes should be given a one-time relaxation to ensure fairness. The aspirants expressed hope that their plea would be addressed, given the importance of providing opportunities to deserving candidates in a region with unique challenges.
Responding to their concerns, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana assured the deputation of his full support and said he would take up the matter with the relevant authorities at both the Union and the UT levels. He emphasized the need for transparent and fair recruitment processes that accommodate genuine concerns.
