MP Ladakh and CEC Leh visit oxygen plants in Leh, review supply

The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson along with MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal visited SNM Hospital and Oxygen Plant at Chushot, Leh today.

Medical officials led by Dr. T Motup at SNM Hospital apprised CEC Gyalson and MP JTN of the concerns regarding issues of manpower and more facilities for handling Covid-19 patients in the hospital. CEC Gyalson and MP JTN resolved few issues on the spot in coordination with the concerned district officers and also assured to resolve all issues with utmost priority to the requirement of medical facilities. Taking stock of the Oxygen supply at the hospital, Dr. Motup also informed the officials that both the Oxygen plants at SNM Hospital Leh are functioning with the capacity of 500 Ltrs per minute.

Health workers and AMT School students, SNM Hospital Leh raised their concerns and demands to CEC Gyalson and MP JTN. Taking note of the issues and demands, CEC Gyalson and MP JTN appreciated their services in the ongoing pandemic and assured to redress their issues at the earliest. They also requested them to continue their noble service to the people of Ladakh in fighting together against Coronavirus.   

Later the duo visited Leh Oxy Care, an Oxygen plant at Chushot, and reviewed the status of the plant. Proprietor, Leh Oxy Care, Tashi Gonbo informed the officials that the plant is functioning at the capacity of 660 Ltrs of Oxygen per minute, which can cater to enough supply to the hospitals in Leh.
