NIA arrests terrorists involved in Sunjwan terror planning in Jammu

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a terrorist who is one of the main accused in the Jammu’s Sunjwan terror attack case.

The case is related to the attack on bus of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Personnel in which one sub inspector was killed during terror attack. Terrorists had attacked the bus indiscriminately when the personnel were going on a cordon and search operation after a tip-off by intelligence agencies about possible presence of terrorists.

NIA arrested one accused person named Abid Ahmad Mir, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, resident of Putrigam area of J&K’s Pulwama. Initially, the case was registered in PS Bahu Fort, Jammu, and re-registered by NIA on April 26, 2022. Mir belongs to Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group.
