A scroll on the homepage of the website says that the registrations for the year shall start soon for pilgrimage. The hyperlink for registration is also operational.

The devotees said that it was sad that the government was so careless towards the pilgrimage that it didn’t even bother to post an update.

Devotees said that the failure of the concerned authorities to update the website is enough to explain how much they concern.

A senior official said that it could be a small error on the website.

The 56-day Amarnath Yatra was due to start from the twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal on June 28 and culminate on August 22.
The Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir had tweeted: “It’s important to save people’s lives. So, it is not advisable to hold and conduct this year’s pilgrimage in the larger public interest.”
