On ground with troops: Army Chief reviews counter-insurgency operations

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Sunday visited the Counter Insurgency Force (R), under the aegis of White Knight Corps to review the prevailing security situation and assess operational preparedness.
He was briefed on ongoing counter-terrorism operations, the effectiveness of the security grid and measures undertaken to maintain sustained vigilance.
Deliberations also focused on inter-agency synergy and the infusion of advanced technologies to further enhance operational capability.
The Army Chief commended all ranks for their unwavering dedication, professionalism and steadfast commitment to duty. He lauded their sustained efforts in maintaining a high state of readiness under challenging operational conditions. The interaction reaffirmed the Indian Army’s resolute focus on vigilance, preparedness and operational excellence.
General Dwivedi also engaged with the Veterans in Poonch. The interaction  included discussion on service experiences, ongoing welfare initiatives and contribution to Nation Building.
He also met Veer Naris and representatives of the civil administration at Poonch Brigade.
The interaction was marked by camaraderie and mutual respect, underscoring the enduring bond between the serving leadership and the Army’s Veteran community.
