Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Wing President Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra has been charge-sheeted by J&K police allegedly for establishing a nexus with terrorists to seek their backing for political gains and for reciprocating by way of providing a range of help and support which led to terror strikes.

The J&K police approached US authorities and Google for their assistance in sharing email contents exchanged by Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, a close aide of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, with Pakistan-based secessionist leaders and militants. With following proper rules Google US has been approached to get the contents of Emails exchanged.

As per reports it was found that accused received instructions from Pakistan-based secessionist and militant leaders and communicated action-taken reports and a host of information in furtherance of militancy and separatism.

But, PDP and Parra’s lawyer is denying all allegations.

PDP president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti also alleged that Parra is being tortured by the police to admit the allegations which are not true.

Police said that US authorities through the medium of Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) via the Ministry of External Affairs have been approached for providing required help in the case. According to details written in charge sheet, CIK, which is part of the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s CID, also asked for Whatsapp chats and data stored in the icloud account linked to his mobile.

This is the second charge sheet against Parra, who was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in November last year.
