Cracking a whip on the owners of two wheelers with modified silencers, the Bus Stand police in City Zone North under the direct supervision of SP City North Jammu Shivam Sidharth and SDPO City North Jammu Devinder Singh Bandral, a team of Bus Stand Police under the leadership of SHO Bus Stand Inspector Vikas Dogra carried out a special drive to curb offenders and violators, seized 02 Bullets, 05 scooty and 05 motorcycles under different motor vehicle acts and issued challans to many violators.
Violators who use these modified silencers not only distract other commuters but also pose health hazards for seniors citizens and for those who have heart related problems. He further added that the drive will be continued in future.
Meanwhile, Jammu police has sought cooperation of people in curbing traffic violations in the Jammu District.
