In light of recent intelligence inputs regarding the potential misuse of certain chemical substances in unlawful activities, Doda Police has intensified checking and verification of fertilizer dealers across the district to ensure strict compliance with norms and to prevent any suspicious activity.
On the directions of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta, special teams from all Police Stations and Police Posts carried out extensive inspections of fertilizer shops, wholesale outlets, godowns, and storage facilities. The verification drive focused on examining stock registers, sale records, transport manifests, and procurement documents pertaining to fertilizers and other regulated chemical substances.
During the inspections, dealers were sensitized to maintain accurate records, verify customer credentials, and promptly report any suspicious bulk purchase or unusual inquiry related to chemicals. Officers also briefed them on their legal responsibilities and emphasized the importance of heightened vigilance given the current security environment.
Doda Police has assured that such inspections will continue in the coming days as part of a proactive security strategy. The general public has been urged to remain alert and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of the district.
Doda Police reiterates its commitment to maintaining peace in the region and preventing any attempts to disturb the prevailing law-and-order situation.
