President’s bodyguard to train students from Kargil schools in Delhi

A group of students selected from various schools in Kargil district called on the Lieutenant Governor Brigadier BD Mishra (Retd). They are set to embark on a unique opportunity to receive horse riding and polo training with the prestigious President’s Bodyguard in Delhi. The students were given a send-off by the HLG at his residence. 

Secretary of Youth Services and Sports, Vikram Singh Malik, First Lady, Neelam Mishra and other concerned officials were present during the meeting.

The LG emphasised his commitment to promoting sports among female students. He encouraged the students to make the most of this invaluable opportunity and excel in their training. Assuring the students of all necessary facilities, including food and lodging, the LG also advised them to conduct themselves with discipline and decorum.

Vikram Singh Malik, echoed the HLG’s sentiments, reminding the students that they were representing Ladakh. He urged them to maintain good discipline and make the most of the training provided by the President’s Bodyguard, a renowned and highly respected regiment.

The students, selected based on their interest and aptitude, are expected to return to Ladakh with enhanced skills and a deeper appreciation for the sport.
