Rajouri: Man arrested over communally sensitive Facebook post

J&K police has arrested a former government employee who worked with the Public Works Department (PWD) over a communally sensitive post.

The accused is a resident of border district of Rajouri in Jammu region and has been identified as Balkrishan Bhat. He has been arrested over allegedly hurting religious sentiments of a community.

Police have registered an FIR against Bhat under section 295A and 153A.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri, Chandan Kohli asked the people of the area to have restraint and not post any such posts on social media that could hurt the religious sentiments of any community.

He said that the police would observe zero tolerance policy against any such incident any remarks online that are targeted towards any community.
