Remembering the martyr of 1965 war; Jammu’s Reasi family presented ‘Plaque of Gratitude’

A ‘Plaque of Gratitude’ was today presented to the family of 1965 War martyr Moti Lal of Reasi.

The Plaque was presented to the son of the war hero at a ceremony organised by 2JK Girls Battalion of NCC, Jammu in collaboration with General Zorawar Singh Government Degree College.

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, more than 26 thousand martyrs   across the country are being honoured with ‘Plaque of Gratitude’ under the nationwide flagship programme of NCC titled ‘Shaheedon Ko Shat Shat Naman’.

The ‘Plaque of Gratitude’ was presented to the family by the college Principal Dr Chander Shekhar and Subedar Major Baljinder Singh from Punjab Regiment.

The event began by observing two-minute silence in remembrance of the nation’s martyrs. Cadets of GDC Reasi presented a tribute to the martyrs by singing a Patriotic Song.

The College Principal motivated the cadets and other students to work for the welfare of the nation through hard work and perseverance.

NCC Officers Prof Sunil Magotra and Prof Norin Akhtar; Prof. Ajay Kumar, Dr Saleem Ahmed, Prof Upasna, Prof Ammeq Rehman and Lecturer Priyanka also attended the programme.
