Safety, counselling room established for loco pilots & rail staff

Taking an important step towards strengthening safe train operations and employee welfare, the ‘Safety and Counselling Room’ was inaugurated today in Jammu Division of Northern Railway.

The room was inaugurated by Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu Vivek Kumar.

This room has been specially created for Loco Pilots, Guards and other running staff, where they will be provided counselling related to Safety Awareness, Guidance and Support, Mental Wellbeing and Positive Work Environment.

On this occasion, the Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu said, “Safe train operation is the topmost priority of the Railways. This counselling room will not only enhance the safety awareness of employees, but will also improve their mental health and work-life balance, which will further strengthen our goal of ‘Together for Safe Train Operation’.”

Senior officers and staff were present during the event.
