Saudi Arabia sends Oxygen to India amid surge in demand

Saudi Arabia has sent Oxygen to India amid a surge in demand and people from across the country demanding the life supporting gas.

Saudi Arabia came to the rescue of India after efforts by the central government and decided to send Oxygen to the country.

Adani Group and Linde Company will be bringing in the 4 ISO cryogenic tanks of Oxygen to save those suffering from Covid in the country.

Several hospitals across the country have sent SOS during recent days stating that they are running out of Oxygen and need it on immediate basis. The country has witnessed 3.49 lakh cases during past 24 hours and several deaths due to lack of Oxygen.

“Embassy of India is proud to partner with Adani group and M/s Linde in shipping much needed 80MT liquid oxygen to India. Our heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Health Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for all their help, support and cooperation,” India’s embassy based in Riyad said in a tweet.

The first lot of 80 metric tons of liquor Oxygen are on its wat from Saudi Arabia to India will reach the country anytime soon.

Adani group is also securing 5,000 medical-grade oxygen cylinders from Linde Saudi Arabia. For the assistance provided, Gautam Adani thanked the Indian Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia, Dr Ausaf Sayeed.
