Srinagar :- In a significant anti-terror operation conducted in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, security forces recovered a cache of weapons and narcotics here today .
The joint operation, carried out by the Indian Army and Jammu & Kashmir Police in the Amrohi area of Tangdhar sector, was launched following specific intelligence inputs.
During the extensive search operation, the forces recovered four pistols along with six pistol magazines and approximately four kilograms of narcotics. Additional war-like stores were also seized during the operation.
The recovery highlights the ongoing attempts to smuggle weapons and drugs across the border in this sensitive region.
The Chinar Corps, maintaining its vigilant presence in the Kashmir Valley, reaffirmed its dedication to keeping the region free from terror activities. This operation marks another successful effort in disrupting the nexus between drug trafficking and terrorist activities in the area.
