Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) under Accelerated Recruitment Program advertised 8575 District/Divisional/UT Cadre posts of Class-IV vide advertisement Notification No. 01 of 2020 dated 26.06.2020 in pursuance of the J&K Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules 202C notified vide SO 184 of 2020 dated 04.06.2020 read with other relevant rules.
The rules inter-alia provide that the selection to District/Divisional/UT cadre posts shall be made by following the procedure of assigning additional weightages on the basis of laid down parameters in addition to the score obtained in the OMR based test.
Upon the consideration of the merit of the candidates in different cadres a cut-off merit in each category was fixed and a total of 9652 unique candidates who were falling in the ratio of 1:4 of the number of requisitioned posts were shortlisted for document verification.
On the basis of merit of the candidates a Provisional Selection List/ allocation of Cadres for Class-IV posts was notified vide Notification No. SSB/Secy/ClasslV/2021/7072-81 dated 15.10.2021. The extant rules provide for allocation of departments in addition to the allocation of cadres in favour of selected candidates by the JKSSB and in pursuance thereof, a selection list alongwith allocation of cadres/departments was notified.
