Shrine Board strengthens healthcare services with new dental lab in Katra
Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today inaugurated a modern and state-of-the-art Dental Lab at Maa Durga Dental Clinic, Katra, being operated by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Charitable Society under the aegis of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Developed at an approximate cost of ₹43.54 Lakh, the newly established Dental Lab has been equipped with advanced digital dental technologies aimed at providing high-quality dental care and prosthodontic solutions to pilgrims and local residents at nominal charges.
The newly inaugurated facility will enable the preparation of modern dental appliances and prosthetics including crowns, bridges, complete dentures, flexi partial dentures and other fixed and removable prosthodontic appliances. The lab is equipped with modern intraoral scanning technology that replaces the traditional method of taking dental impressions. Using digital scanners, patient’s teeth and mouth structures can now be scanned quickly and comfortably. These digital scans are then transferred to specialized software for designing crowns, dentures and other dental appliances with greater accuracy, helping reduce manual work and enabling faster delivery of treatment to patients.
The Shrine Board is continuously upgrading pilgrim amenities, healthcare services and overall facilities for devotees visiting the Holy Cave Shrine under the directions and guidance of Manoj Sinha, Chairman (Lt. Governor, JK-UT) to ensure a safe and convenient pilgrimage experience, said Chief Executive Officer after inaugurating the modern Dental Lab.
The CEO exhorted that the newly established facility marks a significant advancement in dental healthcare services under the Shrine Board’s charitable initiatives and will provide modern prosthetic appliances, including flexi partial dentures, to pilgrims and local residents at affordable rates.
On the occasion, the team of Maa Durga Dental Clinic expressed immense gratitude to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for its continuous support and encouragement towards strengthening healthcare facilities in the region.
