The State Investigation Agency (SIA) conducted raids at various locations in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch in connection with a hawala racket that was unearthed with the arrest of two people who were allegedly routing money to terror outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba and Al Badr, reportedly.
The officials said that police have been carrying out searches at multiple locations in Poonch since early this morning.
The raid is said to be carried out after the arrest of two Hawala operators- Abdul Hamid Mir from the Bus Stand area of Jammu with Rs 10 Lakh cash and Mohammad Yasin from Meena Bazar area of New Delhi with Rs 7 lakh cash.
