The government Super Specialty Hospital in Jammu has released a clarification on the death of Kanchan Arora, who passed away on November 6.
As per the clarification Kanchan Arora collapsed inside a lift on November 1 while on her way to the third floor. The lift person was standing by near the lift as is seen in CCTV cameras. As per the statement of the lift operator, she suddenly collapsed in the lift. The lift operator opened the door, brought the patient out of the lift and shifted her to ICU immediately and was attended by the Senior Cardiac consultants, Senior Neuro Anaesthesia Consultants and other critical care team.
“She was given best possible treatment and history was taken by our doctor that she was suffering from multiple problems like Diabetic, Hypertension. The Consultants attending her also found out that she was suffering severe cardiomyopathy problems and as per echocardiography, it is very clear that she was suffering from severe heart condition (Rheumatic Heart disease-severe form)” the statement read.
Refuting the allegations made by certain family members, the hospital clarified that all medical investigations — including CT scans, X-rays, and neurological assessments — showed no injuries that could be linked to any lift malfunction or mishandling. “All reports confirm there was no injury caused by the lift,” the statement read, emphasizing that the incident was a result of her pre-existing heart ailment.
Report filed by police department where the attendants including husband stating “I do not want any legal proceedings in the matter as I do not have doubt on any one.” the clarification read.
