Suru River in Kargil gets motorable bridge for improved connectivity

Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Retd) BD Mishra inaugurated the Motorable Bridge with Footpaths over Suru River at Zamistiang in Kargil on the fourth day of his tour to Kargil. Chairperson, LAHDC Kargil, Shri Feroz Ahmed Khan was present during the inauguration.

Shri Feroz informed HLG that the bridge will improve connectivity and facilitate movement for the convenience of the public. 

The intermediate lane motorable bridge with footpaths on both sides over the Suru River has been built by PW(R&B) Department at a cost of Rs 5.60 crores.

Executive Councillors of LAHDC Kargil- Shri Aga Syed Mehdi Fazily, Shri Mubarak Shah Naqvi and Shri Mohsin Ali; Councillors and BDCs; Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Shri Santosh Sukhdeve; SSP Kargil, Shri Anayat Ali Chaudhary and concerned PWD and district officials were present during the inauguration of the bridge.
