Sushant Singh Rajput gets prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award posthumously

Late bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been awarded with prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award with ‘Critics Best Actor’ honor to the actor who died by suicide on June 14, 2020. 

Although the nation continues to feel the vacuum left by late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, one of the country’s most coveted film honors, the Dadasaheb Phalke Trophy, at the prestigious award ceremony held on Saturday, awarded the star with the “Critic’s Best Actor” award.

Rajput quit the TV industry shortly after hitting the height of his career to test his Hindi film industry coin. He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with ‘Kai Po Che’, and with that, the young actor bagged on with the charm of his impressive performances to entertain his fans and audience.

Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival’s official Instagram account confirmed the same and wrote, Praising the determination you displayed on the road to this accomplishment. Congratulations to Late @sushantsinghrajput for winning the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2021 “Critic’s Best Actor” trophy. It’s you we miss! ” 

The talented star, who died in his apartment under suspicious circumstances, was last seen opposite Sanjana Sanghi in ‘Dil Bechara.’ The romantic flick is adapted from the popular novel ‘The Flaw in Our Stars’ by John Green and also starred actor Saif Ali Khan in a special appearance, directed by Rajput’s close friend Mukesh Chhabra.
