To raise environmental awareness, a couple from Madhya Pradesh who left their corporate jobs traveled 3,200 miles from Manali to Srinagar.

On Tuesday the couple arrived at Lal Chowk city centre. Paridhi and Nikhil began their 3,200-km trek in July of last year after quitting their corporate careers to pursue adventure.

Paridhi informed that they resumed their trip in the middle of April after returning to Ladakh in March, the same location where they had previously taken a break from their adventure. The couple said that their goal was to increase environmental awareness. She informed that to get to Lal Chowk, they trekked for around 3,200 Kms across 19 mountain passes and added that their goal was to increase public awareness of the environment and the need to protect it.

She told Greater Kashmir that there were several hurdles they faced such as landslides and challenging tracks. “We got the support and love from people everywhere which made us forget about the hurdles,” she said.
