Railways regularly revises its train timetables every year. Under this revision, the timings of trains running in the Jammu Division have been changed with effect from January 1, 2026. This change has been primarily made to meet public demands, improve infrastructure to increase train speed and save time, review speed restrictions at various locations, and overcome operational constraints. The aim is to ensure timely running of trains and maintain connectivity between trains.
The timings of approximately 33 trains running in the Jammu Division have been changed. These trains operate from major railway stations in the Jammu Division, including Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur), Jammu, and Pathankot. Passengers can check the updated timetable of these trains on the Indian Railways website, India Rail Info, Confirmtkt, or other apps like NTES.
Regarding the changes in train timings, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Shri Uchit Singhal said, “The timetable revision is part of a larger operational improvement aimed at providing passengers with a faster, more efficient, and convenient rail travel experience. This reflects savings in travel time for passengers and improved connectivity. Passengers are requested to check the train timetable from the railway helpline number 139 and NTES before planning their journey.”
