Two enquiries against top institutions of Jammu; No answers yet

Two enquiries against two top institutions – ASCOMS (Batra) hospital and St Mary's Presentation Convent School – over Covid-19 deaths has infuriated the people of Jammu as they are questioning as to when will the investigation reach a logical end. Divisional Commissioner Jammu headed enquiry committee that was investigating the cause of deaths at Batra hospital in Jammu on May 1, has so far not submitted its report. The deaths at the hospital had taken place allegedly due to shortage of oxygen. Family of a deceased woman had also alleged high handedness by the staff of Batra hospital. Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education had constituted the enquiry committee headed by Divisional Commissioner Jammu. However the report of enquiry has so far not come out that has raised many questions. Meanwhile another enquiry against St Mary's Presentation Convent School over the death of a teacher who was allegedly forced to come to the institution despite administration’s orders against the same, has so far not been initiated. While the Deputy Commissioner of Jammu Anshul Garg had stated on micro blogging platform Twitter that he would initiate an enquiry against the school for alleged violation of orders. Neelu Varinder, a Music teacher of St Mary's Presentation Convent School, Jammu died because of Covid-19 and her last rites were performed on Sunday. https://twitter.com/hello_anshul/status/1391563844347043845 According to her colleagues, Neelu Varinder was regularly attending her school duties as late as April 26 against her wishes.
