Two Rohingyas found in possession of fake documents in Jammu, denied bail

Two illegal Rohingya immigrants who were residents of Myanmar and entered India illegally and were residing in Jammu, impersonating as citizens of India had prepared fake documents of Indian citizenship.

A Jammu court denied bail to them saying their release can create law and order problems. The court also said that it cannot be ruled out that the accused persons may be involved in criminal as well as militant activities.

Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu, Kishore Kumar said that it was so strange  to know that both the accused Abdul Ghafoor and Ashiqur Rahman fraudulently procured Indian passport, Aadhar card, PAN card, bank accounts etc. by seeing this he felt that their may be elaborate racket producing fake documents.

During the police investigation, Ashiqur Rahman was found to be in possession of a PAN card, a driving license, an Aadhar card, birth certificate and 140,000 in cash while similar documents along with Rs 2.20 lakh cash were seized from Gafoor.

Court stated that it is a serious offence and both the accused have entered India illegally and were staying in Jammu. It observed that their release could hinder the law and order for administration and don’t deserve to be released.
