Two Kashmir residents arrested in Arunachal Pradesh on espionage charges

Two residents of Kupwara in Kashmir were arrested by the Arunachal Pradesh police on the charges of espionage for foreign handlers.

The two accused have been identified as Nazir Ahmed Malik and Sabir Ahmed Mir who were transmitting sensitive information about the deployment of the Army units to foreign handlers.

An FIR has been lodged against the two by the Chimpu police. While Nazir was arrested on November 22 from Ganga village, Mir was arrested from Itanagar on the disclosure of Malik.

Mobile phones and electronic devices have been recovered from both the accused. Both the accused are in judicial custody.
