Two soldiers killed in Kulgam encounter

Two soldiers of the Indian Army have laid their lives while fighting terrorists at Akhal in in Kulgam where the gunfight with terrorists was continuing since August 1.

The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army said today on X; “Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of the Bravehearts, L/Nk Pritpal Singh and Sep Harminder Singh, in line of duty for the Nation. Their courage and dedication will forever inspire us. Indian Army expresses deepest condolences and stand in solidarity with the bereaved families. Operation continues.”

The encounter has entered the ninth day. One terrorist has so far been killed.

A joint team of Special Forces of the Army, CRPF and J&K Police is engaged in the encounter and efforts are being made to neutralise the terrorists.
