Udhampur :- In a significant operation conducted by the Udhampur Police in Jammu and Kashmir, successfully apprehended a smuggler transporting 13 cartons of illegal liquor on the Jammu Srinagar National highway. The arrest took place during a special checkpoint operation at Jakhani Chowk in Udhampur.
The police had set up a strategic checkpoint to inspect vehicles passing through the area. During the routine inspection, officers stopped a load carrier that was traveling from Udhampur to Chenani . Upon searching the vehicle, they discovered a substantial quantity of illicit alcohol – 420 bottles of 250ml each.
Acting swiftly, the police took the driver into custody and seized both the vehicle and the contraband. Meanwhile Police registered the case and further investigation going on.
