Udhampur: A wave of solidarity swept through the town of Udhampur today as the local Hindu community took to the streets to denounce the escalating persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. A peaceful protest march, originating from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, traversed the city’s arterial roads, culminating in a fervent demonstration outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Dhar Road.The protesters, united in their cause, expressed profound concern over the rising tide of violence and discrimination faced by the Hindu minority in Bangladesh.
A memorandum was submitted to the District Commissioner, urging the Indian government to intervene swiftly and decisively to safeguard the rights and interests of the Hindu community in Bangladesh.The protesters emphasized the strong bond between the Hindu communities of India and Bangladesh, asserting that the Indian Hindu community stands steadfast in support of their persecuted brethren across the border. They implored the government to exert diplomatic pressure on Bangladesh to immediately cease all forms of persecution and ensure the safety and well-being of the Hindu minority.
