Turning into an absolute revelation for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Umraan Malik from Jammu and Kashmir amazed his fans and everyone through his unbelievable performances. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Umraan Malik recently became a sensation by his high speed deliveries as well as for taking many wickets.

Malik recently put the fastest bowl of IPL at the speed of 156 kmph in a match against Chennai Super Kings. Though Malik’s team Hyderabad Sunrisers lost the game to Chennai Super Kings, Malik’s performance won hearts.

Malik hails from small town named Gujjar in Jammu but is leaving a big mark in the cricket history. His father sells fruits and vegetables but was a big supporter of Malik in every field of life. Irfan Pathan, took no time to figure out the talent of Umran Malik. Malik was introduced to Pathan by J&K cricketer Abdul Samad, who was also retained by SRH. Pathan was J&K team’s mentor back then. Malik made his T-20 debut in 2021 when he played at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament for Jammu & Kashmir. During IPL 2021, Malik bowled second fastest delivery at 152.95kmph. Malik was selected as a net bowler in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup.

During IPL auctions in 2022, Umran Malik, was surprisingly retained by SRH management for Rs 4 crore. He gained attention in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), where he bowled five balls in a row above 150 kmph.
