The much awaited Srinagar-Katra Vande Bharat Express will be extended up to Jammu from 1 March, the railways announced today.
The Vande Bharat was so far running between Katra and Srinagar and the demand for extending it up to Jammu was growing among the passengers.
Senior divisional commercial manager, Uchit Singhal, said that the extended train shall have 20 coaches instead of the present 8.
The train shall leave Jammu at 6.15 am and reach Srinagar at 11.10 am. On its return journey, the train will leave Srinagar at 2 pm and reach Jammu at 6.50 pm. The train shall have stoppages at Katra, Reasi and Banihal.
