‘Veer Bal Diwas’ observed in Doda by district administration

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, and under the supervision of DSWO Doda Tariq Qazi, District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti, Social Welfare Department, Doda celebrated to Commemorate ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ at Parisha Doda.

DHEW-Mission Shakti team highlighted to the participants the history of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, as well as why “Veer Bal Diwas” is commemorated in memory of martyrs Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the two sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji, the tenth Sikh Guru.

On the first day, DHEW Doda registered the students of Parisha, Paalash & various students from different schools Doda on the My Bharat Portal. 

After registration, students participated in debate, poetry, singing, drawing, and essay writing competitions at Parisha

Staff from OSC, Palash, Parisha, Culture Cell Doda were present for the occasion.

Also, the live session of our  Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, was displayed on the screen where he

remarked that the nation is remembering the immortal sacrifices of Veer Sahibzade and deriving inspiration from them as a new chapter of Veer Bal Diwas unfolds for India in the Amrit Kaal.

The participants who scored first, second, and third in the competitions were later given prizes by DSWO Doda.

Speaking on the occasion, DSWO emphasized the value of these occasions in fostering young people with a feeling of responsibility.
