Work on synthetic track at open Stadium, Spituk, Leh reviewed

In order to review the physical progress of the work of Synthetic Track of International level and Astro Turf Football work, the Administrative Secretary  Ravinder Kumar visited the spot for Monitoring and Inspection at Open Stadium, Spituk, Leh.  He was accompanied by Executive Engineer, PWD (In charge Chief Engineer, Leh) with his team, CPWD engineer and District Youth Services and Sports officer, Leh.

Keeping in view the ensuing winter months ahead, the Administrative Secretary gave on spot directions to the concerned officers to expedite and complete the laying of synthetic Astro-Turf for football by the end of November 2020. 

The CPWD engineer has informed the secretary that the laying of synthetic track shall be started by the Mid of March 2020 as the same is not technically feasible during the winter months. The Executive Engineer PWD has apprised the worthy secretary about construction of Youth Hostel with capacity of 2000 beds in the south stand and construction of North VIP stand which shall be completed by the next working season.

The Secretary has also directed the PWD and Youth Services and Sports Department to demarcate the land and complete the boundary wall by the end of December 2020.

Later , the secretary has directed all the officials to make sure that all the tendering processes are completed well in time before the start of next working season, so that the state of the art sports facilities are being provided to the youth of UT Ladakh.
