World Bank’s neutral expert coming to J&K with IWT teams of India and Pakistan

J&K government has appointed 50 liaison officers of the JKAS cadre for the visit of the neutral expert of the World Bank alongwith Indus Water Treaty teams of India and Pakistan to Jammu and Kashmir from June 17.

The team will visit various hydroelectric projects till June 28 in the Jammu division and the Kashmir valley.

The government has appointed 25 liaison officers in Jammu and an equal number of officers in Kashmir.

The liaison officers have been ordered to report to the managing director of the J&K Power Development Corporation for briefing about their duties and responsibilities during the team’s visit.
